PHNOM PENH: The Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection, Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An congratulates the wife of Hun Manet. Pech Chanmony, who was elected General Commissioner of the Cambodian Scout Association on Thursday. She has expressed her hope that the new committee, led by Pech Chanmony, would be able to sustain the growth and promote the capacity building of girls and women to actively participate in nation-building and promote the values of women and girl’s dignity of Khmer tradition.

She says, “Improving the capacity of girls and women to become strong with roles and status in society by building their capacity is the key to giving women the opportunity to fully participate in socio-economic development and poverty reduction and the advancement of women."

The election of the new Executive Committee of the Girl Scouts Association was held at the Cambodia-Korea Cooperation Center 16 new committees elected and Pech Chanmonin is the new General Commissioner.
